Dresden

Early that morning we were on the sundeck viewing the scenery as we sailed into Dresden.  After docking near the town center, we were off on a city tour.  Most of the area we were in had been destroyed in World War II and suffered further damage in the Soviet occupation years.  Many of the building had been rebuilt after the reconciliation of Germany.  Dresden is a center of the arts, and the number of museums there was astounding.  Our tour was interesting, and the time spent on our own enjoyable.  That afternoon we enjoyed the riverside scenery as we sailed out of Dresden.
